Online Banking - CU... At Your Service!
As a PEOPLE'S member, you now have computer access to your credit union account information through online banking, free of charge.  With online banking you can review your accounts, transfer funds, make payments on your credit union loans, access your member statements electronically, and so much more.  

To start using online banking you must register with the credit union.  When you register, we provide you with your unique username and password that allows you to log into online banking.  Access the online banking login page at https://webcu.self-help.org/hb_login.htm.

To register for this free service, call the PEOPLE'S branch directly at (510) 267-0450, or call Self-Help servicing in Durham, North Carolina at (800) 966-7353. Online banking is password protected for the security of your account information. 

Bill Pay

In addition to offering free online banking, PEOPLE'S also offers a fee-based online service that allows you to pay your other household bills, electronically.  With Bill Pay, you can make one-time payments or program the system to pay your bills on a recurring schedule.  Go to  https://webcu.self-help.org/hb_login.htm to view an audio/slide demonstration of the benefits of Bill Pay.

You must first log into online banking to register for Bill Pay.  A monthly user fee of $4.95 is assessed to members who sign up for Bill Pay.  Consider replacing the expense and effort of check writing and money orders with Bill Pay. 

Telephone Account Access- Audio Banking

Access recent account information, perform transfers and withdrawals, and get up-to-date rate information by dialing this secure toll-free number: 866-708-0694.  All you need is your member account number and a four-digit password.  Our audio banking service is available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. 

Direct Deposit

Make arrangements with your employer to have your paycheck automatically deposited directly into your PEOPLE'S FCU account each payday with direct deposit.  This safe and secure electronic deposit service gives you quick access to your funds and eliminates the time-consuming task of depositing your check in person. Keep track of your direct deposits through your monthly account statement.  Direct deposit is available to People’s FCU members free of charge.

Electronic Statements

View your PEOPLE'S account statement online.  E-statements contain all of the account information you currently receive on your paper statements, plus you have the convenience of being able to access 18 months of statement history.  With e-statement you'll no longer receive paper statements in the mail.  E-statements are available at no charge to members. 

Free Financial Advice with Balance
Balance is a confidential financial advice and counseling resource available to our members at no charge.  Go to http://www.balancetrack.net  at any time to access information and other resources to help you with your personal financial issues.   Balance also offers free one-on-one financial counseling.  When speaking with a counselor, mention that you are a member of PEOPLE'S Federal Credit Union, a division of Self-Help Federal Credit Union.  For credit counseling assistance, call Balance at 877-847-2155.

Electronic Payment Center
PEOPLE'S FCU makes it easier to pay your bills!  Come into the branch to make payments to East Bay M.U.D. and P.G. & E. at no charge.  For a small fee you can pay credit card, insurance, wireless phone and hundreds of other companies by transferring money from your account or by paying cash.

Money Orders

Purchase a MoneyGram money order at PEOPLE'S FCU for only $1.50.

Gift Cards

Our Visa® gift cards, available up to $500, can be used at retail outlets that accept Visa. For just $5.95 each, you can rest assured that your gift will always be the right size and color!

Free Teller Checks
PEOPLE'S offers members up to two free teller checks each month.  These checks, which are similar to cashiers' checks, allow you to pay your bills without using cash.  Teller checks are a convenient alternative to cash and money orders.  Visit the PEOPLE'S branch to take advantage of this free service!
