Sherry
Alexander, Manager
Sherry was born in Washington
D.C and grew up in northern Virginia. She lived
on the East Coast until March 1982 when she
decided to move to California. She has been
with People’s since the beginning, working at
starting the credit union even before it opened
in 2001. As the Branch Manager, Sherry oversees
all operations making sure things run smoothly
and without problems. She has an unwavering
passion for the credit union, its mission, and
of course, the people. Sherry’s financial background
includes working at several other banks and
credit unions before bringing her expertise
and experience here to start People’s. She best
enjoys her free time just hanging out with her
husband and children.
Astrid
Acero, Accounts Manager
Astrid has been a financial
representative at People’s since July of 2006.
Astrid,was born and raised in Oakland, is the
proud mother of a beautiful 7 year old girl.
She loves being a mom, dancing, singing, and
music. She sings on weekends and loves her job.
Astrid spent the past couple years volunteering
at Convelescent Home.
Luisa
Alveranga, Bookkeeper
Luisa Alveranga has
10 years experience as a bookkeeper. Born in
El Salvador, Central America, but raised in
Oakland, CA. Luisa is a missionary for Living
Hope Chrisitian Center. She does various humanitarian
projects on the church's behalf. She is very
family oriented and enjoys serving the community.
Debbie Brown, Financial Services Specialist/Collections
Manager
Debbie Brown is proud
to be the newest member of he People’s
team. She has over 29 years of experience in
the financial service and credit counseling
industry. She prides herself on her ability
to come up with creative solutions to fulfill
our members’ needs. Debbie has been married
for 20 years and has a daughter who just graduated
valedictorian from high school.
Arcola
Moore, Financial Education Coordinator
Arcola joined People’s as an
AmeriCorps*VISTA volunteer in August, 2007. She has built on the work
of former VISTAs in marketing, volunteer recruitment, grant application
and website development. Arcola is from Oakland, CA and recently
graduated in Political Science -Public Affairs and Administration at
California State University, East Bay. She is also the proud mother of
a beautiful 5 year old girl.
